Be-Bound: surf the internet without WiFi or data connectivity
Be-Bound is the great world changer of the startup competition at LeWeb. They propose a smarphone app that relies on the standard mobile phone networks to allow for Internet use. How do they do it? By sending sms to and from their servers.
To use it you buy prepaid credit and every action (reading an email, forwarding a message, updating your Twitter timeline), costs from one to three credits.
This application can really be useful on areas with no data coverage and for people traveling to other countries that don’t want to pay the hefty roaming data fees. They have already negotiated the access to all mobile networks in the world.Albert Szulman is the president of Altheia, the company that has developed it.

Aviso a todos los emprendedores: se acaba de abrir el plazo para presentarse a nextelevator, el concurso de startups de la conferencia Next11 en Berl??n.
Se trata de una nueva iniciativa de Next11 en colaboraci??n con la revista Wired UK y con la incubadora Hanse Ventures. Se pueden presentar startups con menos de 12 meses que tengan ideas innovadoras y un modelo de negocio sostenible en la industrias de Internet y el comercio electr??nico. Seg??n las condiciones de nextelevator, el plazo de presentaci??n termina el 17 de abril y las startups que se vayan presentando podr??n ser votadas inmediatamente. El plazo para votar termina el 27 de abril. Entre los 30 m??s votados el jurado elegir?? 12 proyectos que ser??n presentados en la final de mayo (la conferencia tiene lugar entre el 17 y 18 de mayo).

Les prototypes sont mis de c??t?? et les leaders se concentrent sur leur pr??sentation. Apr??s moins de deux jours de travail en profondeur, il s???agit de vendre son produit ?? un jury compos?? d???investisseurs et d???entrepreneurs aguerris. Sans grande surprise, l?????quipe KodesK gagne le grand prix. L???entreprise cherche ?? devenir l???interm??diaire entre les travailleurs nomades et les propri??taires d???espace ?? louer. Sebastien, son cr??ateur, s?????tait pourtant inscrit sur le tard et n???avait pas de grandes ambitions : ?? Je me suis inscrit au Startup Weekend il y a deux jours, d??clare-t-il. Maintenant je dois vraiment me demander si je suis pr??t ?? monter ma propre entreprise. ?? L?????quipe vient, en effet, de gagner une souscription au Founder Institute, un organisme qui va les accompagner quatre mois durant. Pour Brice Le Bl??vennec, c???est le voyage qui compte et non la destination lors d???un tel ??v??nement. Cependant le membre du jury exprime certains doutes quant au message du Startup Weekend.
